I'm liking it so far...few questions fo the community

I agree with another post I read about the good things in the game sofar really cool spell effects et.

I do not however understand what is meant by "modding?" ?

my main pet peave is  with the %10 exchange rate at the mall. I believe that there should be a %10 exchange on items you purchase and then sell... but items you gain in combat...pelts skath fins high level weapons (that can not be produced by your faction) should have a higher value. The current %10 rate makes it not even worth traviling back to town to sell. A higher price on won/discovered items would certainly make the risk of attacking stronger monster worth it and going to town to sell them worth the time. It would also help your faction to grow financially early in the game. Perhaps a supply - demand system also as the wolf pelt inventory grows the price drops. Just a thought... but it sure is frustrating to aquire a 8th level sword worth 1800 in the early seasons but only getting 180 at the local pawn and fleece shop.

I recently let loose a dragon and he began destroying my poor cities; not a problem except as I manuvered my resources (Champions to dispatch the nuisance my game crashed and I have not been able to get the game to restart...which I find quite sad as I had that Dragons number (I think it was like 180) .

I also read a post about the champions vs. Soveriegn, my opinion is the soveriegn should have the most power and enable the Champions thru him... At least un till they reach a certain level? Also I think their should be a limit on how many times you have to kill the batards. Perhaps a way to capture them and the soveriegn must defeat the city they are being jailed in (nothing like a good old fashioned jail (or gallows ) break.

I don't know if it's the way I'm playing but my soveriegn and champions seem to have an awfull lot of fire spells is the norm?

I started a game a few days ago with 3 AI's at normal levels and got my butt kicked quickly when the scouts found me I was like 85 to there 125 (at this point I usually attack and take over their poorly defenced cities. Not this time I was quickly over run with troops up to no good :), Now this may be due to my recently (3yrs ago) disability; which lowered my IQ from 134 to 89 (EE to bench warmer). I was critically overdosed with 2 antibotics Gentamycin & vancomycin, I only say this to educate people of the posssible bad side effects of these partcular and widely used antibiotics; I certainly do not think my life is any harder or easier than anyone else's...Life can be a cruel mistress :) but she's still fun to play with. so perhaps I am not playing correctly would love to hear from anyone who can point me in the right direction. ([email protected])

Also while I'm typing; what was mean't by a few weeks? today is the beginning of the third week yes? an updated progress report would be nice.

Risk - reward / Supply - demand anyone with me? (and yes I do understand the programming invovled) so a happy medium to start?

Thanks for your time and attention fellow FE waiters.

Modding is when a player change the game, add, edit or delete content.

There are no official plans to update E:wom.

The word "modding" is an offshoot of the words "modifying" and perhaps "modification".

You bring up some great points.  It is frustrating to kill champions over and over again.  It even gets worst toward the end of the game.  I understand that Stardock does this to balance the AI with the player.  I wonder though if they could just handicap the AI by adding more attack and defense to the AI champions making them harder to kill for the first time.  I not sure what the answer is to this.

I also agree with the selling of items.  I think this is being worked on.

Hi there!

Gonna put in a quote so you know what ill talk about ;)

1: I don't think they should start making items sell at different % values, meaby upgrade the selling rate at some point, but not changing values since that would IMO be a bad mechanic to artificially inflate the value of random commodities, either upgrade the sellback % or increase the value of items ment to be sold.
I think its quite silly starting weapons have different value for one.
That said, elemental had a 50% sellback value at some point, but the value given from items was soooo high that exploring, finding items and selling them to the shop could fund your entire empire, to run no taxes. Economy will probably be seeing an overhaul in the next update, so we will see what they have in store for us.

2: yes roaming dragons will eat you.

3: I think you should post this where you read it (too?) since threads are usually focused on one or two subjects, so discussion will not be too confusing :)

Thank you for your time, next time try to space out or number your subjects and give them a header, that would help me read through your post :) and I will become soooo happy ^_^

Sincerely

Ah, the Clambercoil Dragon is a harsh mistress. You can sometimes get it to follow you into an enemy's territory and then when they kick you out, the dragon will wreck them. Just a little tip.

Oh and sorry bout the medical damage you suffered. I might suggest my let's play videos if you are looking for some strategies. It does look like alot will be changing in beta 4, though. You might want to hold off obsessing about the economy until after that is released.
