Interesting TEC lore

Not sure if anyone is as much of a nerd as I am but if you actually look at the opening cinematic for rebellion you will find out alot of cool stuff. I'll list them below should some fan fic writer need this information or if anyone cares for any reason.

  • The Planet Galanthus was one of the first worlds to show full support for the TEC.
  • They use the Earth calendar as in the propaganda screen is is show the date is 21st of october. No year is given unfortunately :/
  • If you look at the screen the assumed leader of Galanthus is the same person as the man from the 'Sins of a Solar Empires' intro cinematic who banished the Advents ancestors(This means he is over 1000 years old). His name is also Lucius Mannacher.
  • The planet that was hit at the beginning of the opening cinematic for rebellion was called Arietis II.
  • The bomber was developed by a company known as AxiTech.
  • Should you bring a friend with you to enlist in the TEC you earned a higher starting rank.
  • In the scene where the Protev lands you can see the stardock symbol on the side of the building!

Thats pretty much all I got I hope you all are interested in this xD

I lol'ed at the "bring the friend" gag. Those who have the most Twitter followers become Generals :)

Too bad there isn't more lore about SoaSE. I'm sucker for good sci-fi.

It's not a gag, that's actually how recruiting drives work. When I enlisted, there was 'Stripes for Buddies', which gave you a bonus and a rank increase depending on how many people you bring in. Assuming TEC follows this, though, you can only get to E3 (Which is Seaman in the Navy, likely analogous to TEC fleet ranks) this way. There's no way they'd let a new recruit start any higher without a significant cause. ^_^

That little part of the scene really made my day, honestly. It made TEC all the more realistic in my eyes.
