No bows?

Are there no bows in the game? I discovered the right tecnology but no trace of bows in the store or from units... Same if I find a bow in a random treasure chest, the game say to me "you got a Crude Bow", but nothing, I dont have it in my inventory... Why? Help.

What faction are you playing? In the new beta some factions cannot use ranged weapons.
