Wow, did I have a scare there. I misread your post, ImperatorPavel, and thought that you were talking about the amount of money the collector's edition would cost. When I saw 1k (1,000) I said in my mind, "That's it. No chance of getting one." Then I thought, "Who would even pay $1,000 for a video game collector's edition?" Then I read the post again and realized you were talking about the number of copies of the collector's edition, not the cost.
On another hand, I thank you, Yarlen, for your post. It was very informative, and I am happy that the Kol is made of resin and not plastic. I, too, think that plastic is cheap and was extremely disappointed in the Skyrim collector's edition because the Alduin statue was made of PVC plastic. Very detailed and well-painted PVC plastic, but plastic nonetheless.
I also should say here, though it was said on another post, that the Kol in the picture is the hand-painted prototype model, with the offcial model that will be shipped being machine-painted. I thought that the paint job looked a bit, um, (how do I put this nicely?) cheesy. Especially where it said, in big black letters, "KOL". It looked like a black colored pencil was used to write it. I am very happy to know that the official models will be machine painted, and hopefully this "KOL" will be amended.
I am also very happy with the numbers of collector's editions you are making. It relieves some of my anxiety from looking at my email every couple hours to know that there will probably be more than 1000 copies. It is also cool that they will be numbered.
This collector's edition looks more and more awesome every time you release more information, Yarlen.
I hope I win that Twitter contest for the free collector's edition.
