Stardock: Are you going to continue selling Trinity after Rebellions release?

Since Rebellion has all of Trinity contents, what would be the point of selling both?

Why not just do away with Trinity and avoid all the confusion.

It will have all of the content, it just won't contain separate Sins, Entrenchment or Diplomacy .exe files.  We probably will end up discontinuing Trinity after Rebellion is released, but no decision has been made yet.

What's going to happen is when Rebellion is released, the less informed will buy Rebellion THEN buy Trinity and you will get more headaches with bitching for a refund..........

Now that the beta is here...people are going to pre order Rebellion, and then at some point buy Trinity.

Not knowing Rebellion contains all Trinity. There will be confusion.....

Rebellion isn't a true replacement for Trinity until declaring one's allegiance can happen in-game, which is the way many of us thought it was going to be and it apparently was in the beginning.

Didn't think about that. They are basically different versions of the same game. You will get all the Trinity goodies in Rebellion, just a different way to go about it. But if someone buys Rebellion, will you be able to play Trinity without the Rebellion extra stuff?

When Diplomacy came out, you could still play a Entrenchment game from within Diplomacy.

Apparently, from what I have heard, the testers they brought in before the beta were confused by this, so now you have to declare your allegiance before a match. I don't have a problem with being able declare your allegiance before a match, but if that is the only way to play I am going to be very disappointed.

It doesn't seem very complicated to me, they could make it like Command & Conquer: Generals: Zero Hour, where all factions could be selected, including the original ones, and they could even reuse the selection screens they have now as the in-game facilitator for declaring allegiance, but then what do I know.
