WTH???

I haven't checked anything about this game since Feb/March due to the constant waiting and such.  So I decided to step away and give some time for things to settle down.

 

I just got a new computer, downloaded impulse, and I just couldn't wait to see where Elemental was now.  A year after release, and last I knew it was on the right track, it just has to be a pretty good game now right?

 

RTS???  A RTS???  I didn't buy a RTS game. I bought a turn based game.

 

I have been patient and always one of those trying to tell the whiners and complainers to just be quiet.  I kept the faith and while things were slow they were going in the right direction.

 

Now I feel VERY Cheated.  I did not buy a RTS game.  What are you thinking Stardock?  This really pissed me off and you guys were one of my favorite gaming companies with your customer support.

 

I know I will end up playing it and FE, but when I bought a turn based game and now see it changed to an RTS it really made me feel cheated.

Umm it is still a Turn-based game. What are you taling about?

Maybe the way the game can automatically end turns when you have moved all your units confused him. Since you start the game with a single unit, it is practically moving in real time if turns automatically end.

@heavenfall  your suggestion makes the most sense.  I don't think someone would rant about EWoM being RTS, unless they seem to experience it that way.  I really don't care for RTS games, generally, becuase I'm not fast enough (anymore) w keyboard and mouse.

Maybe I need to try it again but time was moving along, I saw no end turn button, my sovereign could keep on moving, things were being researched and money was increasing.

 

Maybe with so many disappointments I may have over reacted.  I have to check out this "auto turn" thing then.  I always had to click the end turn button before.  If I'm wrong by the way the responses are it looks like I am, I apologize.

 

At least this thread added some action to the forums a bit, seems like everyone has almost left.

I think the default setting for auto turn should be off.  Too many people have been caught out by it (including me right back when I first played, before I learned to turn it off).
