You know you play this game too much when you start to run out of room on your SSD and you realize that your auto-record folder for SoaSE is over 4 GB.

Ah, I'd better do some housecleaning over there.  Most of those files are for old versions, anywho (2 gigs here, btw)

Exactly, most aren't even worth keeping anyway.  I did however just end up deleting everything until this week.  4MB per file really adds up.

... 8C mine is 6.2 GB

Is there a way to turn off game recording? I can only imagine it would speed up everything.

Yes.

Go to the menu (ingame), go to Record, uncheck"Auto Record".

You know you have played sins of a solar empire too much when...

...you think culture is a glowing colored line that can make people neutral.

...you dream of phase missiles.

...you try to find the website for "Black Market" so you can buy minerals & crystal.

...you post on this forum in the middle of the day when you should be working .

You know you have played sins of a solar empire too much when...

... you used the Skirantra before it was buffed and then debuffed as the mainstay of your fleet for it's HEALING ability ...

... you remember missile barrage meant you lost ...

... you remember not being able to turn pirates off in default Sins ...

ah screw it, they all apply!

You know you have played Sins too much when...

...You buy all your houses in a line as to maximize "trade" between them.

...You go the long way around the neighborhood because there was no 'white line' between yours and your neighbor's house.

...You expect your car to slowly repair itself and then drive down the street slowing down at each house but then accelerating at high speed to the next one.

You know you have played Sins too much when...

...your 6 year old runs into the room yelling "Allied backup has arrived!"

...your 4 1/2 year old builds an "Orky" with his Duplex blocks.

...your wife bribes you with "You can play 2 hours of Sins if you help me do the dishes first."

You know you've played Sins too much if you can remember when asteroids could have 4 extractors, carriers only had one squadron, and the Advent was the best race. :P

Those my friend were the days of glory and of hell ... *shudders at the thought of an upgraded Advent fleet that really wasn't afraid of his Vasari battleships* ...

You know you play too much when you convince yourself that you know what the Vasari are running from.

You know you play too much when your wife has to drag you upstairs for some 'physical affection' instead of you going up as fast as you can...

You know you play too much when your wife, who has never played Sins, knows the names of every ship/structure in the game...

You know you play too much when you think constantly about the Advent's stupid AI...

You know you play too much when you can never choose between TEC and Vasari and get traumatized because of it...

And last but certainly not least, you know you play too much when you're wife, who pervertedly obsesses over sex with you, attempts to 'distract you' while you play...

You know you play Sins too much when...

...You buy 2 bicycles, a wheelbarrow and a scooter instead of a second car because they have a better damage output overall.

...You ram into harmless objects and old ladies using your first car in order to "get it to a higher level".

...You refuse to talk to Joe Blow from down the road without him doing odd jobs for you first, and throw rocks at his small children when they come around to play until he does so.

You know you play too much sins when you have an image of an original sins advent fleet beating a vasari fleet, in your ancient history report.

You know you play too much sins when you remember the days of no speed up.

You know you play too much sins, if you remember the time there were no mods.

The last time I cleaned out my auto-record folder, it was nearly 9GB. I've cleaned it out several times before.
