Hero Leveling - Dex?

So is there a FAQ on hero leveling?

It seems like strenth and constitution are the only things that make sense to upgrade, unless you need another channeler.  It seems that STR even affects the damage by of bows and daggers?  Is that right?

Any reason to upgrade dexterity unless you are just so poor you can't afford armor?

CHarisma doesn't seem to make sense either unless you have an administrator, but even that is no good because usually cities who would need an administrator already have lots and lots of prestige....

I do Charisma builds. Why? Prestige boost and maximize ZOC's asap via level 3 cities - eliminate monster spawns. When I'm ready for the level 5 cities, stack the charisma heroes together and voila, 20+ prestige boost to targeted city. It's the build I've landed on and enjoy.

I thought that the Charisma based prestige boost was disabled?

Did it get turned back on and if so, what version?

If it is working, I can see using this build for my farmers and administrators.

Nice tip. Thanks!

I think that they made the bonus MUCH SMALLER.  It seems very small to me but it does show up in the prestige detail if you click the prestige icon on the city summary.

I had 2 heroes with 18+ charisma in one of my cities and it said they added 0.2 to prestige.  LAME.

But farmers and administrators are usually the most useful when your city has already grown to the size you want!

Charisma is not as powerful as prior but honestly stacking multiple charisma build heroes in the same city is uber for mid to late game. Power leveling a city to level 5 once your housing is in order and then casting enchanted hammers, stacking administrator heroes, and building labor guild plus the construction site thing means you can get your capital to a 0.0 production time - any building in one turn, including the end game level 5 buildings. Top that off with no cap on the city tile limits and you can create one hell of an amazing capital focused on gildar and/or tech. I had a game a few builds back where around turn 250 or so the capital had a pop of like 5K (level 5) and was cranking out like 1.3K gildar per turn and like 300 tech or something. Neat stuff.

I just landed on a philosophy where my sovereign uses his charisma to hire badasses to do all the grunt work. He travels around putting out mild monster spawns, levels in the process, and improves his ability to persuade people and champions to join his cause. If I can find her I have the sovereign marry Nabaja who is just plain awesome (dominate plus assassinate). Anyway, works for me but I fully realize other builds work too.
