If you bought the game and got the retail box version like I did, what came with it was a music track CD.
One of the tracks in particular is titled War Of Magic, I like this one due to it's upbeat and energetic tune.
So guys and gals? what's your favorite or favorites?
Hmmm yeah I noticed that similiar tune, they made it fantasy sounding though... I actually like it's new tune as compared to the sci fi sounding one of GalCiv2
My favorite track is "the sound of silence." I mute the music.

I don't like mood/ambient music. I like music with a strong melody. If you don't find yourself humming it a day later, it's not good.
My thoughs when I see threads like this. Its music has no real staying power.
if I get bored of the tunes for Elemental I just put on a custom track... music from FFH2 xD
No melody.
Or just not catchy like the music in say, Lords of Magic*, been years since I played and the music still sometimes pops into my head.
* Or Pharoah, or Heroes of Migh and Magi 3, or a number of other games.
The main theme because it sound a lot like the theme from Galaxy Quest (Movie) only slower tempo.
Music is one part that could elevate the atmosphere of this game into completely new heights. Here are some good examples of music making the game come alive. I've tried to pick music from older games instead of big budget AAA games from the present day:

In my opinion this is the kind of quality of music Elemental should absolutely have if it is to reach legendary fantasy game status.
To the OP, I don't have a favourite track as so far the songs feel really forgettable to me.
I was nosing in my elemental map and found this "song" that I liked 'EpicTheme1Good_FG'. You can find it in: Stardock Games\Elemental\Layered Music. Never heard it in the game though...
I found Theme_WanderersHome_BG.mp3 to be pretty nice. But overall the Ewom music is completely forgettable.
My favorite game music is from Age of Wonders 1. I can't play that game without the music.
Other good ones that come to mind are Braid and Minecraft.
