Sins forum text too bright?

I've been slowly getting back into Sins after a long time away. I've been sifting through the forums a bit and holy crap is the text bright!

White text on a black background has way too much contrast. I can barely read a paragraph before my retinas start burning!

Is there anything I can do on my end to mitigate the problem?

Turn down the brightness on your monitor.

That helped me.
