Free Expansion if I puchase now?

Too many days late. The offer has been up for months and ended with the beginning of the new year.

No you don't get the free epansion. I asked this before I bought it. I believe I was told you will get it at a discount though.

Yes for those who bought the game before Dec 31st I believe will get the expansion for free. This is Stardocks way of making it up to the people who bought the game early.

As people told me, you can either wait till the expansion comes out since it will be a stand alone product (could be wrong there and read the post wrong) or buy it like I did if I can't wait. For me, it was $40 on Stardock, so it's $10 cheaper and getting the expansion at a discount will be nice to have. Still a nice gesture on Stardocks part.

There were two different dates for the free expansion. The first was oct. 31 which Frogboy said in his post Onward! that those purchaser would get two free expansions. The Second was Dec 31 which frogboy has said in numerous different places that those would get the first free. Anyone purchasing now, will get no free expansions.

From the announcement about Fallen Enchantress:

Elemental: Fallen Enchantress is expected to be released in the Summer of 2011. It will be free to those who purchased Elemental: War of Magic in 2010 and be available at a significant discount for those who purchase War of Magic.

 

Unfortunately the deal for free expansions has expired.

However, you can get the first expansion at a big discount if you buy Elemental: War of Magic now. Sounds like a pretty good incentive.

Or you can wait and just buy Elemental: Fallen Enchantress if you don't want both.
