Done with Stardock for the moment

On the more recent PC Gamer podcast I think Troy Goodfellow said it best: Elemental is boring. And although Version 1.2 or some other version might be worthwhile, right now the game isn't fun for me to play.

But more importantly, Stardock has lost my faith. I'm a new Stardock customer, someone who heard about their PC software for years but never tried any of it. And in the last six months I've spent at least a couple of hundred dollars on games and other software and I'm disappointed. It's not all bad, as GalCiv II is a well realized and fun game, but for the most part I just don't feel like Stardock delivers.

Today I uninstalled all Stardock games and software, as well as Impulse. I'm happy with my purchases from other online sites like Steam, GOG.COM, and Gamersgate, and unless Stardock can win me back, I won't be back.

There's just too many other great games and online digital store fonts, and to be honest, they deliver where's Impulse and Stardock have not.

All companies have problems, and stardock is no different... but they are at-least trying to fix the problems of Elemental, by listening to there customers and providing them with info on future fixes. What other company can you say does that... All I can say is I have never seen a CEO like Brad (aka Frogboy) who is constantly involved with fans and providing them with content and info.

LOL they all have different distribution schemes. If your one of the people who don't care which scheme they use then have fun. I, like some others, don't like the issues and restrictions put on by most of the others.

Its all user preference though.. and i prefer to use impulse over most of the others.

So...let me get this straight? You're throwing a tizzy because Elemental was boring? Hell, I thought Elemental sucked too, but I didn't "uninstall" and throw out every game of theirs and be "done with Stardock." It's not like they took over my computer demanding money for the password to get access back. They released a less-than-ideal product that they just *happen* to be fixing to make so much better. Does EA do that? Ubisoft?

Don't let the door hit you on the way out, you drama queen. I'm calling you out because you have not said anything positive that they can take to heart. Stardock doesn't deliver? Okay.
