Any better way to get items such as midnight stones and weapons from one hero to another?

I'm tired of wasting all my movement points of my heroes on trading items and midnight stones.  Is there any way you could drop off stuff at a city (without selling it) and have another guy pick it up?

Sure, stick a champion that you are not going to develop/adventure with in that town to be your warehouse so to speak...

You can use caravans to ferry items from a city to the other. I know, that doesnt adress the issue, but I found some limited uses for it...

Doesn't even have to be a champion - you can use the local garrison.  They can hold the stuff even though they can't equip it.

out of curiosity, other than its use as a quest item, what is a midnight stone good for ?

joy, i thought it might be useful in a fight - guess not. too bad you can't buy them, i routinely have them as an open ended quest with no graveyard sites to find them - i have yet to see the sword or shield you get at the end of it....  :S

I recently got and completed the midnight stone quest for the first time in like less than 30 rounds.  Got a sword.  Now my sovereign is beefier than he's ever been in any game.

In one game, he was carrying around like 20 midnight stones, but nothing to do with them :(

I have done this quest a few times.

In a single game you can do this quest multiple times, my max was 3. It seems to be a progression type of thing. Each time I got the sword first, then the shield then a plate curias. I am not sure what happes if you continute to do more of them.

The quest are kinda pointless, I always carry a bow... midnight stones = 25 gildar.
