Spy Vigalent Minion mega-nerfed?
Just want to get confirmation, can the spy/vigalent minion cast his ability of ass kickery (don't remember what it was called)? Since 1.08+ it has no special ability at all?

I cannot cast with any minion no matter if kingdom or empire
The fire elemental can still cast ... however the spy ability was removed. Found out the hard way in my new game, had to use my own magic to compensate. At least it was good while it lasted.
VM was too powerful with instant cast Arcane Doom. They really need to just implement cast times. Would nerf the ability without remove its tactical value.
Yeah I have expereinced that spell before. It was off that lowbie imp thing. He just nuked the entire battlefied and everyone died. Sov only had 11 HP no way he could survive. That ability needed a big nerf, it should be late late game ability.
Summon spy which is the summon for a VM is not a lvl 1 spell, and while I will agree that it is capable of clearing an early battlefield, if the spell has a cast time of like 3 turns it would have to survive for that amount of time before being able to nuke the entire battlefield. This would add tactical depth as fielding a VM would require you to either run, or try and deal with my VM before he could go off.
Pretty sure its just a bug at the moment. Other threads had froggie in them mentioning that the coders were working to fix the Bow problem and the no abilities problem. So I assume this is the no ability one mentioned at work.
Had no problem with a nerf..i.e. change it to the effect of a stone giant. But removing it entirely was a little overboard. Do Stone Giants still have an AOE attack?
By the way the demon now has Arcane Doom which is much better the minion was nerfed because it needed to be very badly.
Yes the vigiliant minion was way way too powerful... and nuking the entire battlefield is "LATE GAME". The Stone Golem is also too powerful since his spell can strike anywhere on the battlefield. A group of 5 elementals should not be getting killed by a group of 5 lower class summons which have strike anywhere battlefield spells.
I think the VM now has a counter attack that does quadruple damage.

You mean stone giant?
Personally, I think that all giant summoning spells are misplaced, and should switch place in spellbooks with summon elemental spells, since all elementals are actually weaker then corresponding giants.
The stone giant only hits targets in a 3x3 square....I don't think it's too powerful (well maybe reduce damage a little) but I do think the elementals need more power they are afterall pretty high level summons and their power should reflect that.
Also if a summon has mana it really should be able to cast something. The Ice Giant has clarity as well but nothing to spend mana on. The imp and the minion should both have something around the level of flamedart.
