how many people have received more orders of the LE than they paid for???

I just received my SECOND LE BOX with differentpacking list order #'s

I have just tis minute received my SECOND order # of elemental with different order numbers, but I had ordered a standard & later upgraded to LE

the first was on order 233933(print date 08/26/2010 ship 08/31/2010), the second on order 234983(print date09/03/2010 ship 09/03/10).

to the best of my memory I had ordered th std edition disc & download, then later upgraded to the LE, but do not remember what the order numbers were and did NOT order the LE twice.

I'd say send the extra one back. Stardock was cool enough to add all the extra bells and whistles to the LE edition. Keeping a second would make me feel like I'm ripping them off, and the don't deserve that as hard as they work making cool sh!t for us to enjoy.

according to my records, I had only ordered ONE copy, and as a business person I feel that they need to know about a possible SNAFU between the distribution centres, as each shipment came from a different distribution centre.

Why should he keep quiet if he didn't get charged twice?  That would be dishonest.  It makes me so sad that the values I've taught my children mean so little in this world.......thanks.

Now....I had heard somewhere (posted in another thread) that if people received more than one copy Brad had stated that the people could keep it, sort of as a gesture of goodwill due to some shipping muck-ups.......sadly that doesn't change the disgrace of your reply to harpo....you should be ashamed.

the monk, than you for the link, and upon reading it  it appears to be wide open to interpretation and personal opinion.

phazon88 have received a pm from kyro asking me to email [email protected] with all details, which I have just done and will post any decisions reached, and did you check the two packingslips, and were they from different ship from addresses?

Me too. There's a thread of people from Canada where nobody has gotten their first copy yet. (The one guy who did got his as an "army" prize and not through a normal order.)

Seems like the fulfilment centre is having some issues.

the_monk, I have received an email from elisa of stardock sales instructing me to keep the package.

I also agree with you that integrity is the best policy, which is WHY I made this post, pmed kyro & then emailed stardock and would have done what ever they asked me to.

I've also received a second copy I think, although I haven't opened the box yet to see exactly what it was.

Started with Elemental normal pre order, then upgraded to the LE when it was announced. Received my first copy of LE 3 or 4 days ago, then yesterday another similar sized box from Stardock arrived. I presume it is another copy.

I don't know if they figured it had gone missing and sent another one, or what. Personally I would much prefer that Stardock made as much money as possible from their sales so the thought that they are down an extra box and shipping cost saddens me.

mistwraithe, it is a disapointment to me, but I would suggest that you open the outer cardboard box, and if it is what we both think, then email [email protected] giving them your order details and the packing slip numbers and ship from addresses so that they have the information and hopefully can track down the source of the problem.

Also ordered standard + DD, then upgraded.  When a standard edition came I emailed sales@stardock, then when my LE came the next day I emailed them again.  Other than the original autoreply I didn't hear back, so I figure they closed my ticket when I updated them that I got my LE.

I actually opened a ticket with support, and they told me I only got charged once, and to keep the extra copy

You were only charged for one copy. It appears we sent you a second copy by mistake. Please keep both copies.

Will this affect those people who have ordered a box of either Standard or LE and have not yet received it?

I imagine it would create some shortage of copies, or it could be that a box that was meant for Customer A was instead shipped to Customer B superfluously, and if not reported properly, may be considered to have been successfully delivered to Customer A.

Any official word on this?

lol so thats what happened to my copy!

 

But yeah my copy was lost into the ether, so they were kind enough to replace the loss and was told to keep the other if it ever shows up, but for all I know someone in Cairo is enjoying my OG copy.
