Destiny's Embers vs. Book 1

I enjoyed a lot Brad's book, and I also liked the story of the first volume of the Campaign (even if it was by far too quick to play through).

But I have a couple of quick questions:

1) Are Destiny's Embers and Book 1 set in the same Elemental world (the one of the paper map)?

2) If the above answer is yes, is Destiny's Embers set after Book 1? What about Book 2 (is it set between Book 1 and DE or after DE or in some other period)?

TIA to Brad or anybody else who will clarify this.

Destiny's Embers takes place hundreds of years after the War of Magic.

Think of the universe divided into these parts:

I. Pre-History: Guardians of the Telenanth. This is the time of the Mithrilar, the rise of the Dred'nir and their wars.

II. The First Age: The age of the Magi

III. The Second Age: The age of the Titans

IV. The Third Age Begins: The War of Magic (The game as it is today)

V. The Third Age Continues: The Empire of Sorcery

VI. The Third Age Ends: The Wrath of a Vanquished Kingdom

V. The Fourth Age: The Age of Destiny (Destiny's Embers and subsequent rise of Xander)  (the books)

That's interesting, so there's a Foundation series type scale for the story then?

Well, his last line is spoilerish.

Ok, so the War of Magic referred in the book IS the same War of Magic in which the Campaign is set... Great!  |-)

SPOILER CUT  (the books)

I hope this plural is a hint instead of a mistype!   ;)
