Any one else download Spellforce 2: Dragon Storm and get, "mss32.dll could not be found?"

It seems most tech people recommend copying it off the CD, but since this is a download product, there's no CD.  I also checked the spell force folder and dll.  Is this going to wind up being another Warlords III fail?

That's a Miles Sound System library. You can get it from any game that uses MSS or from any dll download site like :

It's a fail.  I got the dll, stuck it in the app folder like it wanted.  Then it wanted binkw32, so I got that and stuck it in the app folder like it wanted.  Now, I get a solid black window when it tries to find my, "opitmal settings," for the game.  I don't seem to be able to skip it either.  I don't think it likes me Geforce 460.

The installer isn't installing some required libraries, clearly. Where did you buy it? You should contact the digital store and tell them that they need to include the libraries.

I've been going back and forth with tech support for 3 weeks. The installer fails at 10% through the download. I've tried on two seperate computers, reinstalled Stardock, etc etc etc. I'm getting annoyed.

Tridus, I got if off Impulse.  I been feeling like a new game lately and I saw advertised that they had the kid'd donation going on so I figured I would try a couple things.  I have a feeling many of the old games sold are attempts by dev studios to make a quick buck while feeling no need to invest in support any more.

A DL from gamersgate, got Spellforce gold just before ordering this.  Spellforce 2 and Dragon Storm.  $5.99. Both play fine (as much as I've played them) but I may go back to them while waiting for EWOM.

Well, Impulse should still be checking that the required libraries are installed before putting it up, so that's pretty odd. Not sure what to tell you.

It's been quite a while since I played it but if I recall correctly you need to use the windows default pathway for documents folder for both the Spellforce games or they won't run... It was that or the game had to be in the C: default install path even. *shrugs*
