6 Vigilant minions, or two demons will do it.

I used a level 10 Dragon.

Where do I get dragons or demons? Any in fire or earth spells?  I just found out that if you don't defeat him he comes out and ruins you.

Are you using the squad ability?  (I.E. The ability to create multiple units in one square)  If you come with a stack of squads, he'll go down.  It may not be easy depending on their gear, but it works.

Yea I was using squads.  With his 200 attack, 100 defense, and 100 hits (?) I couldn't damage him fast enough. He takes out entire squads of archers with one blow.

I had 2 Stone Giants, 1 Fire Giant, 2x 24 atk Archer, my Sovereign with ~80+ Essence and two childs with ~40 Essence. Wasn't that hard at all. I did not even loose a single unit. And my Sov/childs weren't even well equipped due massive Gildar shortage.

For me my second stack (9) of Dark Knights (lord hammers and plate full armor) got through and killed him. It was a fun and not easy battle though :)

Problem was, afterwards I couldn't understand where to go... either that, OR the place hadn't spawned/had vanished/had bugged.

You must go back to the Dungeon were you started the Questline to finish it.

This game is in desperate need of a better Quest management system.  I will at certain points have a lot of quest but don't remember which hut or place to go back to to finish them. And active and completed quest need to be seperated.

WORD!

This is indeed worth something that needs to be looked at, somekind of quest tracker, where it shows start location and quest location so you can easily review them and know where you need to go.

Cheers,

A single mouseover tooltip like "Turn 168 - Quest "The Ratcatcher" given" would help alot ;)

But true, something like a Questtracker would be helpful. Could be solved in many ways. Hmm a 4x4 window with the Quest location maybe? A button so you can focus on the location? Hmm maybe big "sparks" on the mainview with different colors?

The Kingdom Report page (I think that's the name -- it's with the research, spells, foreign relations, etc. stuff) has a tab that lists all quests, with a description, and with an active/completed mention.  Each quest has its own page.  These pages would be a great place to put in the start/end/etc. locations (with a mini map showing where), and the other stuff you mention (plus maybe dates, loot gleaned, etc.).
