Spell Books?

So when I create a new sovereign, if I elect not to give him access to all the spell books, can I get them later?

 

I notice the tech for advanced spell books and expert spell books unlock enchanting and summoning spellbooks, but I didn't see a way to get the air, earth, water, and fire books unless i know them from the start.

Apparently if you do not select the elemental spell books at your sovereign creation, they are nearly impossible to obtain in-game.

- The first crucial stage is as early as the sovereign creation screen. As of now, you can choose between EarthFireWaterAir and Enchantment at character creation. You also have to consider the allegiance your faction belongs to as well as the race of your sovereign, because only the Kingdomfactions will get the Life spellbook and only the Empire factions will get the Death spellbook. If you play the game by advancing in the Magic (Kingdom) or Sorcery (Empire) technology tree and completing quests, you will obtain more spellbooks like Summoning, Restoration, Ruin, Combat, Mastery etc. You must also consider the fact that certain spells require a combination of spellbooks to become available for research. You are, for example, only able to research the Summon Fire Giant spell if you are in possession of both the Fire AND the Summoning spellbook. If you advance enough to obtain the Mastery spellbook, all other spellbooks suitable for your faction should be unlocked including the elemental ones.

So if you are a completionist style gamer like myself and want access to all the spells just to see what they do, those 12 points for the 4 elemental magic books are a must spend.

Actually, judging by that, researching Mastery unlocks all the books.

 

Anyone able to confirm that?

1.3 in the magic tech tree you will sometimes later in the game have the master spellbook and asfar as i can tell it enables you all spells for your faction.

f.e. i got entchantment and air from the start and with the master spellbook i got the message that i got new spellbooks for Summoning, Restoration, earth, ...

so let me see if I get it right...

1. play kingdom or empire, they get more spellbooks.

2. If you don't select spellbooks, they will be near impossible to acquire for the majority of the game, but you get them all at the end?

i think they need to change how the books work.... and give it more of a level then just access to the whole tree i think the book picking shouldn't come in first or should have the stats / Perks come in after
