Blistering Sands?

Or maybe raising the land and then lowering it again if "Blistering Sands" does not work?

Raise land doesnt work (or didnt for me). But there is a spell to turn it directly into a mountain, then lower it and the forrest is gone.

Would have to check but its pretty high like level 7 earth or so.

I find it a bit inconsistant, if not idiotic, that they can make axes to chop through armor but now trees in order to clear land.

I would rather see forest tiles made useful, as is they're only good for spawning monsters (which is a goldmine but...) and that doesn't work inside your influence anyway.

isn't lumber mill for specific "old" forest tiles only?

i was asking because i was stupid enough build a city in a 4x4 or whatever hole in the middle of a "new" forest... and can't build anymore

I just don't build my cities too close to the forest personally. Glad to hear there are spells that sort of do it for those dedicated enough to pursue it.

It would be kinda cool if building on a forest tile gave a one time discount to stuff built on that square, ya know, cause you are choping trees down for those wood buildings.

I don't see why they couldn't make it so you can just expand your buildings over the forest. Building gets ordered, peons chop down forest and begin constructing the building in it's place. Maybe make construction take longer if you build it on a forest tile.

I had some luck with the earthquake spell but then you need to lower the land to smooth it out and be carefull aiming beside the city.

I wouldn't mind seeing the reverse through magic or just came effect that would increase new growth woods inside the influence to show the world growing because your kingdom/empire is healing the deviststated world.
