Anyone else think they shouldn't move on to multi-player

I played all weekend and am still running into bugs, out of memory crashes, lost units, lost kids, shards don't increase magic damage, and other random stuff. As much as I am looking forward to multi-player maybe they should hold off until they implement some more fixes.

Is anyone else running into problems?

I'm in agreement with this.  I have a feeling that until a majority of the crash bugs get fixed no one will ever be able to finish a game.

It's not multi-player ready until items, stacked unit combat mechanics, individual unit mechanics and a host of costs/trade-offs are addressed.

Once some or most of those are addressed, they can do MP and get down into the real nitty gritty of player vs. player balance. I feel like the game is currently totally balanced against playing the AI, and not against playing a person. MP balance is one of those things that goes on forever, and ever, so it would be a good idea to have solid fundamentals to work from before they wade into that.

Under the currant build absolutely not for prime time.. Private invites to beta testers and open submission draft after that.. But only after a heavy re-balancing..

MP is a listed feature, it should be turned on.

Can't agree with this enough OP. This game needs;

1) Total faction overhaul with "fantasy-like" units. Humans with different skin shades will doom this game by itself.

2) Total magic system overhaul. Balance be damned just get some interesting spells going here.

3) All for nought without a decent AI. Currently it's sorely lacking.

Yeah, I can imagine what MP will be like. Spamming pioneers while racing to warhammers, create a party of peasants with warhammers and no armor, bumrush the enemy. Fun, fun, fun. :andrew:
