Thankyou so much for the Great Game

I just wanna say great job on this game its everything I could want in a turn based strategy/rpg game.

All games which involve lots of units and kingdom buildings these days lack a lot of personality but this game really filled the void. I mean each unit was designed by you and gains its own experience and can even be renamed and stuff later in the game. It actually lets you feel attached to you units instead of the usual massses of units just called Knight or archer.

As a big fan of Seven Kingdoms I and II this was a definate big hit with me. That game also had masses of units with their own names and stuff but never let you design the units or anything. It was a shame that Seven Kingdoms Conquest then took the tradiotional rpg style and units were then called things like Knight and archer again :( was a great disappointment.

Anyway its the mixing of all this with the questing, great research system and unique unit customization/levelling system that really makes this an awesome game for me. I know its not perfect and theres still some bugs but it gets better with every patch. Cheers for the great game.

I agree.  I can safely say this is one of the best games I've ever played.  I love the little touches like how your weapons and armor show in game.  I also like how you can have mounts and all the different spells and equipment.  I think the dynasty system is really, really well done.  I'm so glad i got the limited edition now, worth every fricken penny!

with the dedicated staff and community its potential is limitless

You might then be interested in reading this quote from Stardock CEO & Elemental Lead designer & A.I. expert "Frogboy" :

" We’re a small dev team as you can imagine so your kindness and support really puts wind in our sails. We love you guys. I think many of you love Elemental for the same reasons we do.

Personally speaking, I feel like too many games come out these days to be “consumed” and then moved onto. As an  “old time” gamer, I want to have a game that I’m playing for years and years to come.  That’s why updating the AI matters so much to me because the AI needs to get better over time to keep up with players.

I can tell you this :

Regardless of whether Elemental gets good or bad reviews or sells well or sells poorly, this game is the ONLY game Stardock’s development studio will be working on for 2010 and much of 2011.

One of the benefits of being a small, privately owned company is that we can focus on things for reasons besides quarterly earnings. This is a game we love and will be expanding for years to come. And I don’t mean just the single player game either but the multiplayer as well. "

I agree it's a good game. Please please fix the memory leaks though hey

It's annoying to have to relaunch while playing the game due to "out of memory" errors.

I criticize, but at the same time i agree with OP. Even with the crashes, the poorly explained techs and all, ive had more fun in this game than any in recent memories. I have to pretty much love a game to keep hitting the .exe when it crashes 5 times in an hour lol. It has great potential and i hope the rough release is not going to hurt SD too much because we need more people who think like Brad, if we dont want to play games with no depth like McRPG3: Corporate Sword of shanana until the end of time.

This game is already a lot of fun.   It has depth and breadth.   You never know what is going to be around the corner.    Will it be better 6 months from now?  You bet!   I think we are seeing the launch of one of the all time classics.

This is truely a game that could only have been developed by an independent group like Stardock.

I am one of a number of strategy game players who really enjoyed Master of Magic and nothing else has been close since.  Until now.

I have already had more fun with this game since launch than I have had with many other titles over the last few years.    Others may want to complain that it is not perfect.    They miss the main point.   It is fun now and will be great when it matures.

I agree... at first I was like.. WTF is this...

But as I started to learn things and the patches started to come out, I became VERY VERY addicted to the gameplay.

Sure there are issues to be fixed but man.... this is the most fun ive had in years on a videogame :moon:

Well im glad people agree with me :)

Its great to hear they are working on the AI; although i did lose one of my earlier games on hard when a enemy soverign caught me off guard with huge army and this nasty AOE spell that decimated my army. He also had 2 nasty golems :O.

He went quickly for my capital and i soon was defeated after. But other games the AI doesnt seem to do much and hangs about :)

I suspect they are playing a bit - can't please all the folks all the time and this IS a bit rough round the edges just now.

However, I'm with the OP - loving it so far and looking forward to seeing it develop even more in the months / years ahead.

Agree with the OP. Thank you Stardock, this game is a true masterpiece to be.

Yes, the game is buggy (got worse in 1.06 for me, never crashed before but now frequent). Yes, the AI needs sharpening. Yes, there are quirks and some things that could use more explanation.

But that's ok. I bought this game knowing these things. Why? Because I support developers like you. It is important for us hardcore strategy fans to encourage projects of this scope. Big box developers won't bother making games like this - they put out the flashy play a few-hours then you're done with it crap.

Stardock has proven itself to be committed to a different course. And I also know you guys are committed to continuing to develop this game. You have earned my coin NOW, not later.

And even that aside, even with with bugs, with the needed development - this game is a blast to play today. I can only imagine how great it will become.

Yeah I bought it to support the developers too and its turning out to be great so far :)

Looking forward to the future patches, mutliplayer and modding.
