[1.06.19] Bugs or I'm missing something?

Two things that I don't understand if they are bugs or if I'm missing something:

1) the abilities of my champions seem not to work: for example, I've one with Royalty and Dominate, but even if I put her in my capitol the Prestige is only the basic +1 and during fights the dominion ability is unavailable (it has the red mark over it)

2) some other factions don't appear in my diplomacy screen even after I've met. Only some of them. If I'm in sight, I can click on their leader and speak with him, if I'm not I have no possibility to speak with them.

Anyway, OoM issue seems to have greatly improved, and if not for the really disturbing jittery mouse thing, from a technical point of view now the game is almost ok.

I have encountered this as well, but I assume they are only minor factions.

Minor factions do not show up in your diplomacy tab.  I wish they did- maybe on a second page or something.  I also wish that when you finished talking to someone, the diplomacy screen stayed up instead of going back to the overland map view.  I do most of my diplomacy in chunks- talking to everyone all at once every so many turns.  A little tedious to have to keep opening up the kingdom screen and then clicking on the diplomacy tab over and over.

As for your other problem- are you trying to continue a pre patch save? If not, are you using a custom faction or custom sovereign you created pre-patch? I noticed some oddities were resolved when I just remade my custom sovereign after the patch.

I started a new game, but with a faction and sovereign created before the patch.

So this can be the reason... can you tell me more about the oddities you have resolved in this way? I would like to have as much info as possible before starting a new game again. Thanks again!

I never created one with dominate, but I did create one with royalty and noticed that my starting city only had +1 prestige instead of the base +2 it would before the patch.  I created a new identical custom sovereign and that resolved the issue.  I have not tested custom factions pre/post patch, but if it's not too time consuming you may want to recreate those too just to be safe.  I know that there have been a lot of custom faction bugs though, and I'd check the patch notes to see if any of the abilities you're using have been modified in the patch.  If they have, more reason to recreate it- though I don't think that's where your problems are stemming from; I think it's the custom sovereign.  If that doesn't fix it then you will want to post a savegame showing it so they can address the cause as soon as possible.

You can post a savegame file with the error in it to Pastebin and paste the link- if the problem persists.  You'd probably want to recreate your initial post in the support forum though.

Dominate takes mana. So the unit needs to be imbued. Kinda silly as if a unit is generated with a mana ability, it should at least have enough mana to use it once.

Ooh, I completely misread the OP! I thought they were talking about a modded Sov. so I assumed it had essence.

And yes- Royalty appears to be broken for all non-sovereigns.  Sorry to confuse you, but yeah champions you recruit with Royalty do not seem to add to the prestige of the city they are stationed at or any city for that matter.
