Why is my game installed in my C drive?

I installed Impulse into my D drive where I keep my games, but even so EWOM ended up in my C drive.  I did not see any option to chose where the game would be installed.  When did game developers decide they knew better than I how my computer was to be organized?  When my box copy arrives I will try to reinstall the game on my D drive and if this does not work I will return it for a full refund.

I am sick and tired of arrogant developers trying to impose themselves on how I set up my computer.

In the Impulse settings there's options for where to install, as well as a "prompt for install" option. You can change it there.

Might also want to suggest on the ImpulseDriven.com forum that they add a feature to pick up by default if it's installed on another drive.

You can change where software and games install to in preferences.

thanks for the info, it would have been nice if that option was enabled by default.

I changed my directories in preferences but it installed to Program files x86 anyways. I now have to download and install again but this time with with prompt for directory enabled since apparently the archive option didn't seem to work either.

Agreed. Fortunately, I stumbled onto the 'Folders' options before I'd installed any games. It does seem rather silly not to simply default to the chosen drive during installation.
