Game slows down to a crawl the more I play

Hey, downloaded the game last night and have been playing it off and on most of the day. Its a great game, Im enjoying it. It was a bit hard to get a handle on, but I think Im over the basic learning curve and am really figuring out how to expand and actually play the game.

The issue though, is the longer I play, the less responsive the game becomes. The frame rate will sloooowly reduce into nothingness until it feels like Im playing a slideshow. It makes this amazing, fun game unplayable to a large extent for me. Ive turned down all my graphics settings, Ive closed all other running programs, etc.

Still the same problem

Is there a way to fix this? Or is this issue being resolved in the Release Patch? I hope so, because Im loving the game I just cant really PLAY it right now :\

Please open your debug.err file in notepad, and link the contents into a post here via pastebin. This will give us some technical information that can help troubleshoot your problem.

The file can be found in My Documents\My Games\Elemental

Be sure to copy the debug immediately after the error occurs; if you start the game again, the debug log will be erased and recreated for the new session.

it did lock up on me during a tactical combat.

Tactical combat has its own issues apparently.  See the thread here.

Please post the whole thing on pastebin, the devs would need to determine just where the issue lies.

I got the same problem, After a fresh install and 1 hour of play my debug.err file is already 300kb and full of errors and warrnings.

The game is also getting strange. Seems like mouse is offset from the graphics. Turns take slow to load/finish(in a unatural way, only got 2 settlements so not a large game), Spells in combat dont display graphics. Num Enter for finishing turns seem sporadic, works sometimes othertimes not.

Otherwise then that i really like the game xD

Just need to figure out how the hell i get some food for my settlement.

If it helps: here's my debug.err http://pastebin.ca/1923737

Game slows down to a crawl after a while until wierd issues start to happen (no auto-battle until camera focused on unit, overlapping events, missing special effects like shard "beams" etc.) and the game crashes with a generic Windows error reporting message.

Here is my pastebin log:

Was looking for the support forums here for Elemental but could not find them. It looks like a memory leak still exists. Keep crashing to desktop.

Here is mine.  Game started off running at over 200fps, now it is at 14 when looking at a town, a small basic town at that.

Not sure if it's quite the same problem - I do experience a slight slowing but pretty quickly get a "Out of Memory" windows error message, which throws me out of the game.

I'm experiencing the same issue -- play for about 30/45 minutes and then the slowdown is so dramatic
   Me too.

Here's mine from tonights game, where VM usage shot way up (LCD Miscellany on my G15 keyboard reported 7GB, went down to 2GB after closing Elemental): http://www.hiredgoons.ca/elemental/debug2.err

Turns were definitely slowing down by the end.

This is the only problem I have with the game to be honest.

I am loving the game but later on it starts to slow down a bit which is kind of annoying.

Other then that I am just blown away by how addicting this game is.

I have not had any crashes or anything though which is good.
If they can fix the late game slowdown then boy will I be a happy camper because this game right here is just my type of game :andrew:
