Instruction Manual

Apparently there was a lot of changes since beta. Nothing big, but lots of little stuff.  For example, I built my first city right next to fertile ground and I can't build a farm.  My "empire" stalled because I couldn't get past outposts.  I can't recall, do pioneers harvest fertile land? (I thought they got rid of that).

In any event, is there a manual in the elec. download.  Or some fan site?

I am embarrassed to say I have the same problem.

Can't build farms even with fertile land in city radius and bordering already built structure. Population of town is 10.

I checked the requirements for a farm and I should be able to build one but it doesn't show in my allowable construction display. I researched and could build Irrigation and it was in the allowable construction display (but as only size 1 town couldn't build), but no farm.

Help please.

There is a quick-start manual in your Elemental installation folder : a .PDF file. But it is really not very useful to learn how to effectively play : it mostly describes game features, without educating new players on how to effectively execute procedures.

For example, I found that trying to cast a strategic spell on a city could be a too complicated, not simple and obvious, procedure.

I violated the 11th commandment and posted on this specific question.  Apparently now you have to click on the fertile land tile and click the build button on the task bar. Hope that works for you, it did for me.

All resources have their own build icons and not from within the city

Clicking on a resource will show 2 icons - the information 'scroll' and the 'build' icon, hovering the mouse over the second will inform you of requirements to be able to build on it

Cheers.

I note that the Irrigation (2nd level farm I believe) appears in the city build bit, unlike the farm icon.

To add to Tekcadman, you can build on any improvement within your kingdoms influence, you can still click on it like Tek said regardless, but to build on it, it has to be in your kingdom's influence

All you have to do now is have the resource within the sphere of influence and then click on the rresource and it will have a hammer for a build icon. What I need to know is how to increase my sphere of influence??

There is one in the directory, but it is lacking, IMO. I'm not sure if it is the same one that comes in the box, but if not, I would like a pdf of that as well.
