Pinning ships?

Been playing this game for 2 years...still don't know what, how , why to use the thumb tack pinning feature in the Empire Tree.

its useful for pinning things you want to keep a close eye like frontline starbases/fleets or raiding parties

Or if your empire tree already shows those you can hit that pin button on something that is already on the tree to unpin it, which can make it a little less overwhelming.

Especially useful since there is no "Options" to automatically pin/unpin star bases like there are for planets and ships.
