   I just did a quest for a dragon egg and got a dragon.   From there on I had 150+ hp i guess because I was in it's company and walked into every city and never lost 1/3 of that taking on the biggest monsters in the level.   I had 10000 gold and alot researched when I took over the last town, (with no chance of defense).  The game cannot work this way when we buy it, we may be treated to a quest like that but something has to happen to the dragon so you don't just walk thru the game, and I thought titans and elementals where the big guys in this game maybe the dragon can only help against them.  ? something to see the end by Conquest??? -Jeremy Sr.

One thing they could do is make it so you need to gather multiple eggs that are scattered all over the world. In all likelihood you'll need to barter with or conquer other nations to get them.

 

That is, the quest becomes available to all the players when it starts so every player is looking for the eggs and values them very highly.

Np. By all means the credit doesn't belong to me alone. Over the last year and a half finding unique and interesting ways to keep the game interesting in mid/late game has been something that has come up again and again here. Many people had many different ideas on how to do this. Frogboy and the Team came up with unique quests based on ideas here on the forums and the system they came up with internally. I'm sure we probably shouldn't expect a "super wide variation" at launch, but, at least we know the Devs have seen the problem in normal strategy game design and are trying something new and unique with Elemental that should address the issue nicely.

creatures too slow ? give them the right leader!

Organized Hero tracker adventurer with a speed of 11 at the end game.   My mob of summon creatures and one other imbued hero blitzes the map! Hell I started at 4 movement as I recall. +cloak, +backpack +ring +necklace +warg

I dont like dragons only being able to move one square. I say balance them out with other bad a**ness. With technology that allows you to build balistas that have an advantage against dragons, or weakness for the dragon to the opposite element type like fire-water etc. or special rare material that does special damage to dragons dragon glass. etc. I would do this while making a dragon hatch costly, like the dragon eggs are all dormant petrified and you have to do blood magic to revive them (like in Ice and Fire) and costs you your firstborn son or favorite merchant.

 

Its a dragon, get over it.
