Will Sins of a Solar Empire get playable storyline campaigns?

I wanted to know what the title says, because its fun and all to play the maps that are there and maybe create our own, but I still would like to know if there will be campaigns for every single race, as for ex. the TEC have 5 campaigns with 10 maps that can only be played one after the other to tell their story.

Or for any race really...

I don't know if you guys have something like the campaigns planned, so I'm just asking.

I think in almost every RTS, those campaigns were just glorified training missions. Each 1 focusing on a different unit. I am glad IC put more focus on the regular play.

Learn Galaxy Forge and you can make your own map pack.

IC said they love to make a campaign a long time ago IF they could do it the way they wanted. And not make it like myfist0 stated. Training missions more or less.

 

Now that was said long time ago, and Im sure they love to do it still. If they can find the way to fund it and/or a way to present it like they want.

 

My guess is we wont see one though. Even then, Personally I have enjoyed the aspect of making my own stories into a campaign like setting. I know many dont want to put such effort into it or dont care to be that creative but, I have found Ive enjoyed this game 3X over than any other game Ive played, just for the simple reason I can make the game personal. Heck get a group of people and RP. Bam, the fun you can create by mixing RP and this game together is huge.

Yeah, that was used in the Entrenchment Beta. Their is one for diplomacy as well.

For this current generation of Sins I don't think we'll see a campaign. I'm sure if they ever make a sequel though we'll see one, now that Ironclad probably has more resources to work with.

    How about 20 or so maps make a level and every new level you meet a NEW enemy, and just go on from there?                           This way Sins is just like it is now, you play at your own pace , just meeting new targets along the way.....

btw ..this feature could be turned on and off.

The thing is I don't really care for the maps, I wanted to get more of the story is what I was aiming for...

I know how to use GalaxyForge so I can make my own maps, but the story behind it is important to me.

A great many people have clamored for a Sins campaign.  It's too bad that the engine won't allow modders and mappers to just simply make one.  I'm sure that programming the game to allow something like that would have been a lot of extra work, but imagine how much having custom campaigns would add to this game for the single player crowd.  It's amazing what modability did for the original Neverwinter Nights; it's too bad that something similar weren't possible for Sins.

Mission 1. part 1 - conquer the first two (and/or more) stars that are connected to your gravity well to establish a base of operations

Mission 1. part 2 - colonize the planets and expand them as your majesty/king/conqueror pleases to do

Mission 1. part 3 - engage/contact other civilizations in the galaxy, and sort out the diplomatic consequences your choices will have further impact on the outcome

Mission 2. part 1 - sort your path trough the universe by diplomacy or conquering the other civilizations planets and/or homeworlds

Mission 2  part n/a - the future of galaxy lies in your hands and you skills. (You can write it on paper if you want to.) ;)

and so on.......

 

BTW: Anyone talking about SoaSE campaign I think want more story telling and cinematic sequences during the battles. Until we are blessed with SoaSE 2 - The Chronicles of some sort, it's fine by me to stick with the (almost) original to the end.

 

SoaSE doesn't need campaign, it's fine by me, the hard-top-of-the-notch rts space game I have ever played up to date (with Stars mod ).

Lol the campaigns will be the campaigns from the original Starcarft however, don't expect to see them till probably Sins 2 which will hopefully be in like 2 yearas

Yeah, re-make for Vasari would be Zerg and Advent will be remaked as Protoss huh? XD TEC could stay the same, it's a shitty side anyways :D
