playing trinity with all content?

So on the front page I saw something about a review of trinity on impulse. there they said that trinity came with three games for the price of one. Since I ordered a copy of trinity yesterday I was wondering, will I be able to run a game with all the content that entrenchment and diplomacy added in the game, or can I only run one expansion at a time? How does this work?

Had a better look around and learned that diplomacy is the one I want to play, or 'trinity'. I am unsure yet how to select that but I am sure I will figure it out. Sorry for wasting your time!  |-)

I would advise starting with Diplomacy/Trinity although some other players don't.

Just make sure you start on easy difficulty and it might be worth playing without pirates until you win 1 at least.

There are plenty of threads on here with tips for beginners but don't be afraid to ask if you need advice.

Thanks I most definitely will do that. I browsed around a bit and there is  an amount of info in here that is nothing short of staggering.

I guess I will start with pirates off, and as TEC to get a hang of it since they are strong economically, and then play with a fixed team so I do not get raped while I am still learning. Maybe I will even try a 3v2 if that can be done. I dislike easing into things like expansions, so I want the full picture rather than easing into it.

There are three versions of the game you can play:

Sins of a Solar Empire (vanilla)
Entrenchment
Diplomacy

Each version includes all of the content from the previous version(s), meaning you can't play Diplomacy without Entrenchment's starbases (but why would you want to?  Starbases are the coolest!).

Trinity is the name of the compilation of all three.  It's like saying "Sins of a Solar Empire: Complete", only way cooler.  Trinity is completely compatible with the non-Trinity copies of the game, so you can play multiplayer with someone that only has vanilla, and they don't have to worry about buying more just to play with you.  You'll simply need to select the vanilla version in order to play with them.

Yeah set up a 3v2 with you on the 3 is a good idea, it will give you an idea of what you should be doing to some extent by watching the AI.  They aren't amazing but they do the right kind of things generally.

Like maybe do 2x Easy + you Vs 1 Easy and 1 Medium, see how that goes.
