Elements?

Have been following the progress of the game for a while and a few things I have been wondering.

 

1) In the logo, it has the four colours which I'm assuming represent the elements. Is yellow Air and green Earth, or is it the other way round?

2) How important will the elements be in terms of diplomacy? Will each faction have a sort of "main" element or something, or is it just a kind of general mish mash?

Green is Earth, yellow is Air. And you can pick spellbooks of various elements from the start, but as of now they are not faction-specific. Except for the Big Two, Life and Death.

Any plans to align factions with elements, or are people liking the current system?

It's a good idea for a mod. [Align factions with Elements.] It won't happen in the vanilla game AFAIK.

Life and Death are faction aligned.
