BETA This Thursday?

Today as in 4th March, yeah. Update with fixes to the 1G Beta build.

So, for me thursday's udpates are friday's updates

This may seem like a stupid question... but will I need to do anything my end (in impluse). Like register the product with the order Number sent to me when I pre-ordered?

I don't remember needing to register anything at all.

Don't forget to check "see available betas and freeware" or something like that or impulse won't see the beta.

They would probably put it up in the journals when its up. its not going to be out as soon as its 12:00 am.

They always create a dev journal with the change log of the builds. Shouldn't be different today (Thursday for some, Friday for some different some )

I will probably be working long and late today and may not be able to be home before Friday's early morning. Will Stardock let us get into the beta even tomorrow or is it mandatory that we "register" today? I'm looking forward to testing and helping Stardock and I really do not want to miss this opportunity.

I beleive the last of the (obvious) bugs have been squashed. A new build is currently compiling

Does it takes long time to apply it with impulse once it's finished? Are we talking about less than an hour or more than that?

Did you already pre-order the game? If yes, you don't have to do anything yet. They'll process your order at some point and you'll get an email. Once you get that email, tell Impulse to show beta versions, and Elemental will appear.

If you haven't pre-ordered, you need to do so. Only pre-orders get beta access.

More than an hour...we build (current step), then prune/upload files, then stage, then test...if the testing results in no showstoppers, we publish!

IIRC Brad usually tests releases before they go out to the rest of us.  Maybe that isn't the case with a 1G update, I don't know. But I wouldn't expect it until later today.

Wow the second time I got screwed out of the Beta because they only charge the credit card a second before offering the beta. What BS.

Okay, wait...  Just to clarify...  Is this new build just available for the folks who have already been testing, or is this also the part where you welcome in people who have pre-ordered over the last several months but haven't been beta testing yet?

On topic: Hopefully they get to my pre-order before I dive into X3 for the day. I'll lose my entire day to that monster.

I just pre-ordered today -- does anyone know if I will be included in the beta additions that are going on today? And, assuming that I will be, will it just show up in the "My Games" tab of Impulse (I did enable "Show pre-release versions").

Okay, so one more quick question...  Should we be getting an e-mail with our serial number at some point so we can register the beta through Impulse?  Ooorrr...  Will it just show up on our Impulse without a serial number?  So far I think we've only received an "Order Number"...  This isn't the same as our Serial Number, is it?
