Hardware Survey thru Impulse

Now anyone that uses Steam knows that every 2-3 months Valve conducts a survey of its users hardware thru Steam. This is one of the better features I like about Steam cause it gives not only me but Valve a standing on where my current hardware is comparable to other users. I think it would help Stardock to know what kinda of hardware thier customers have but also it would probally help Elemental as well. I know doing surveys like this would probally take a few months of planning and implementing on Stardocks part but why not have a survey for the people in the Elemental beta, maybe it would help Stardock out and can help them find ways of making Elemental even more playable on different systems at this stage in delevopment.

Thinking about faster results for Elemental, it doesn't seem like there's a need to design a survey or involve Impulse. Just create a mailbox and ask beta folks to send zipped debug.err files. Some ETL code to import them into a database should be no challenge for Stardock. Then the devs can query/analyze the data all they'd like, and maybe collect a steady stream of new datapoints by filtering fogbugz data (and maybe even the forums?) for debug.err files from new email addresses that match Impulse accounts.
