I feel stupid

I just heard about E:WoE, and within 30 minutes or so had devoured screen shots and short articles alike. I was very impressed. Not long after that I was at the preorder page, fishing out my credit card in order to get beta access. It was only after I made the order that I noticed the pre-order beta access had been closed.

Now I feel stupid.

Don't feel stupid mate. You'll get in during the next stage of the Beta. Welcome aboard.

Check out the pen and paper version on this forum. Its will reveal more than the current beta methinks :)

Do you have a link for it? I've seen the short post listing players, but its a little sparse on details. Otherwise... I suppose I'll wait. Really need something to augment my Dominions and Conquest of Elysium gameplay :)

Its just starting, and we dont know much yet. The Frog himself said it would be run public in the forums.

Don't worry, you're not missing a lot in beta 1. :) When you get access to it, more game will be there.

Tridus is right.   You'll likely have more "fun" by waiting until Beta 2 anyway.

Hi mate!

Get some Dragon Age, Machinarium, or Left for dead 2 and don't worry - there isn't much to miss now. I can't speak for others, but after all the last builds, I just played a day, or two and that's all. As it is now, the game is quite boring, unstable and incoherent. I remember Frogboy (I think it was him) saying that the beta will open very soon (Christmas?).

Fun is in the eye of the... tester? I don't mind broken/missing mechanics, placeholder systems and art. That's fine for me. I just like exploring systems, watching as things change, are added or done away with. It's a rare oportunity to watch as something is created.

Don't get me wrong, the vision of E:WoM in its final state is what drew me here, but to get in early, especially so very, very early, was going to be a special treat.

Believe me brother, you aren't missing anything at this point. Stability is a Serious issue at the moment. The next build will clear some of that up we hope so we can get some serious testing in. In a way you should kind of be glad you won't have to pull your hair out over it until Beta 2.

Yeah, its early days still. Mostly we are discussing concepts and how the game should work. The beta testing is slow at the moment. Just join the discussions and wait for Beta 2. You arnt missing much. Read the fixlist for each version if it makes you feel better. For some reason I love reading fix lists for games :)
