Would it be possible to combine Mods

Are the mods modular

I know that the game will be very modable and that many players will try to mod various elements of the game that they don`t like. But what for example if I like 2 different mods and I would like to play with both of them. Would it be possible without creating a new mod.

Of course, sometime mods changes can overlap. I am not sure how this could be dealed with. Maybe have a moding priority.

All this mod modularity reminds me of "Mutators" in Unreal Tournament. I remember always using a set of mutators for all my games.

Usually combining mods DOES require some switching of files, but unless you want to mix and match parts it's pretty easy. Of course, it really depends on the mod itself......

Take a look at how Sins: Entrechment stacks mods. I assume something similar to that would be entirely doable with Elemental. It basically does the priority system that you are suggesting. It doesn't work so great when things overlap, but for the most part it allows you to mix+match your mods.

I think that it should be possible to use more mods in the same time..it can cause problems of course, if the mods will modify the same gameplay elements.
