As for me, I like the Trader Emergency Coalition. Lasers, EMPs, Rail Guns, and Nukes = coolness.

I love vasari solely for their phase gate advantage for rapid fleet deployment.

Advent for the sultury voices -

Kidding.... I like the illuminator and swarms of strikecraft.

Tec I like there balance - they feel the most balenced out of the 3.

Vasari I like the movable starbase, phaaaase tech (missles, gates, ect) and superweapon.

Yea, the shared forum thing has been a source of confusion on quite a few occasions since being instituted a couple of years ago or so.

I'm posting from the Demigod forum at the moment, but I do have Sins and am partial to the TEC myself .

The shared forums are actually pretty cool once you get used to it. But yeah, you should probably have started this in the Sins general forum.

Vasari, i like the phase gates and im most comfortable playing as them then with tec or advent

Vasari are cool too. I play mostly as either TEC or Vasari. Advent are a bit weird to me.

As my avatar might imply, I started out as an Advent player.  However, I've slowly gravitated towards liking the Vasari the most.

I prefer TEC, mainly due to my fondness of the Sova Carrier, but I enjoy playing every faction.

I enjoy the Advent most, but I play TEC a lot more for some reason. But I think the Vasari technology is the coolest

I mostly go TEC myself, just love the idea that they initial did not have a fully realized military force until the Vasari came. They then scrapped, fought and used whatever they could to defend themselves. I have always liked that characteristic.

Kinda like the A-Team in space?

I like the Advent the most because, well, they are the most aesthetically pleasing. At least that's why I started playing them initially, and since I learned the game playing as Advent, I have by far more experience playing with them.

The TEC is also fun, especially on smaller maps, but my general RTS playing style favors a realitively small but powerful tech heavy or hard hitting force.

I thought I would like the Vasari, but to be honest I never have much fun playing them, probably because I absolutely hate their game music. I've been meaning to try to swap their music with some "battle mixes" I made to see if I enjoy playing as them witjhout that limitation.

something along those lines, I have always been of the ideal that the man makes the weapon not the weapon makes the man. The Vasari have it easy with superpowerful technology to fight with, the TEC initially had only a collection of merchant and mining vessels (just read the manual, only the Kol was a purposefully built weapon of war and that was after the invasion) and the will to fight

The advent's Illums and powerful bombers are why I use that faction.  Though it is disappointing how easilly their fighters die on enemy flak, quicker than others.  Vasari has really cool tec's but I can't ever seem to use them right or something.  And their assaliant is disappointingly weak.  Tec is good for eco, trade port at 2 civ stations.  However their balance leaves them without much strenghth in any category.  Guess im a little cheap on the illum spams, though I try to use a balanced fleet.

Hands down Advent. Best Light Frig, Long Range Frig, Scout, Flak, Support Cruiser (guardian), and bitchin caps.

Advent, because the guardians and progen drastically reduces my casualty rate compared with the other races.

I actually prefer the Aesthetics and voices of the Advent but I never feel comfortable playing them, I love Phase Gates too much

TEC they might be the underdogs when it comes to facing off against the Advent.  But they can definitely hold their own and even come out on top when you work their advantages right. Most of all TEC just fits my personality and my tactics and strategies work the best with the TEC.
