up for an important topic

so, is this being updated for Beta 1a?   or is pretty much everything going to be the same.

"Elemental is currently in a public beta. Players who pre-order the game will have the opportunity to download beta builds via Impulse™ (subject to beta open and close dates). This enables them to give feedback, suggestions and even begin populating Elemental with their own creations via the integrated modding environment."

Any news as to when the open beta will continue?  I pre-ordered the game in order to fall into the beta but have not received anynews or indications this is continuing at all.

Can someone update as to where they are and a more or less release of their next beta step? Last I read was Beta 1D by Dec. 31 2009, but as of today no new news on it, and we are in january 17, 2010...

Game runs great, though it doesn't like to update my graphic settings.  if possible there should be an auto detect feature as well.

If I Pre-order when will I be able to down load a beta version? or am I to late for that?

I have the same question. I'm interested in pre-ordering to get access to the beta but the "Limited Beta Test" banner mentions that bet access is closed right now. Will it open again for new pre-orders or no?

The Stardock 'tradition' has been to enroll new preorders at each major beta milestone. Beta 2 has been postponed for various reasons, so there was a brief window where post-Beta 1 preorder folks got beta access. As far as I know, there will still be new enrollment windows for Beta 2 (more cloth-map-only pain, but with multiplayer) and Beta 3 (when the 3D stuff finally gets into the public betas).

The devs definitely seem to value a large crew of volunteers, but getting new folks charged for preorders & enrolled is a not-insignificant work item for Stardock staff so they can't just do it every week.

Hello little and may be not most important - but In title screen there is 4 colored triangles in E - and only 3 in L - missed yellow triangle in crossing A and L

Are we putting our bug reports for Beta 2 in this thread?

Every time I try to open research the game crashes four times in a row.

yes game crashes all the time here. battle screen r3esearch and a few other things cause crashes

Would be nice to have an easier way to get all your guys out of a city. Perhaps a select all or some such function.

Also there seems to be a huge shortage of metal deposits on all the maps I've played so far. Perhaps some sort of trade function in the marketplace to convery your resources to needed types. Fun game so far
