What Did You Play This Weekend?

Once again I spent a great amount of time playing Dawn of Discovery.  I finished the campaign, which was quite enjoyable, and now I have moved on to the scenarios.  These are challenging, and take some time to complete, but it’s well worth the time spent.

I had to squeeze in some time with East India Company.  This is a complex and challenging game, but very rewarding once you get the hang of it.  The visuals are simply beautiful, and puts you right into the ship as if you are a real captain yourself.

So that was most of my gaming weekend.  What did you play?

Oh, I forgot about Trine! I've been waiting for it to arrive on Impulse. Now, all I need me pre-paid Credit Card and some scotch...

Still Oblivion, tried the OOO mod, but didn't like the way it made the game. MMM on the other hand is just as great as for Fallout 3. Also as i finally beated the final survivals of Plants vs. Zombies, i got me another casual indie game, Osmos.

CoD:WaW, Trine, SoaSE, Timesplitters: Future Perfect, Naruto: Ninja Storm, King of Fighters '06, Metal Gear Solid 4, Section 8, Ace Combat 4, Star Wars: Battlefront 2, Anno 1404, Medal of Honor: European Assault,

DragonBall Z: Burst Limit (Against all common sense, this is fun.)

Kitten Sanctuary (I gave that to my mother for her birthday and she hasn't had a good night's sleep since.)

and more.

World Racing 2 again, but I think I'm gonna uninstall it. And all the Diablo3 talk made me hungry, so I played the Titan Quest demo.

Played mostly Lord of the Rings Online with my level 58 Guardian.  Finally bit the bullet and bought a top end Belkin Wireless N Router and dongle.  No longer fear getting disconnected in Moria (or elsewhere) in the middle of nowhere, getting defeated while logging back in, only to find myself half way across the place having to trek back to where I was.  No disconnects in a week.  For those that play LotRO, it's a bit expensive to repair Guardian armor as well when this happens.

Playing games are alot more fun when when you don't have technical issues haunting your mind.

X3: Terran Conflict. Im probably modding it more than I'm playing it but it's the thought that counts. =)

Simply the prettiest starship flying game around and moddable (and already modded) beyond recognition. Practically nothing is off-limits for modders. There are new weapons, ships, stations... whole new universes.

And it's the only game where you have a freedom comparable to GalCiv. No other game has the same vertical depth. Trucking around in a trader, mining asteroids, flying a tiny scout, or commandeering a fleet of battleships, carriers, and missile frigates. Anything goes.

And once in a while... Master of Magic, Magic Carpet 2, or Populous 2.

Hmm that sounds familiar. I took a few goes at modding WC3 and Q2 but after some weeks realized I didn't actually play the games in that time

Wow, I need to find my copy of that game...  I didn't have a chance to play anything this weekend, but I wish I had been playing Arcanum.

This should be a new topic, I`m craving a Wii.  I want the Metroid Prime triolgy, That`s it.  I haven`t owned a console since the Dreamcast.  I loved Super Metroid on my snes.  I`m thinking about buying a Wii just for this, Is it worth it?

I buried myself in my recently purchased Playstation 2 - I highly recommend picking up a Slim Line now for a bargain price.

I had 9v9 and 6v6 matches with my TF2 team.  Otherwise played a couple hours on TF2 pubs, reloaded Fallout3 and got the DLCs which I hadn't had before, and I'm mostly playing through that now.  I've also been playing CIV with FFH2 recently but didn't play any this weekend.

X3 is tons of fun, unfortunately my joystick recently kicked the bucket and I just don't find it the same without it, so until I replace that X3:TC on hold.

Played my first GalCiv2 game. And Quake Wars to fill time between chores. Played QuakeLive a little, but won't be going back. They've resissued Q3 Arena as a free game but it takes me back too far. Must.Move.Forward.

The PS2 is, in my opinion, the pinnacle of console gaming.  Do yourself a favor and pick up Gran Turismo 4, Ratchet & Clank, and Dynasty Warriors 5.

Europa Universalis III, Master of Orion 3 (no really I did!), AIWar, C&C Red Alert 3, Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance, Divinity 2.

I tried to play Metroid Prime 3 on my sisters Wii, but i just can't get the hang of those the controls. So i ended up continuing my adventures in Oblivion. My Khajiit Spellsword kicks ass and looks good doing it ;)

Heh.  Played a little Sword of the Stars and a lot of Quest of Yipe! III.
