So im returning after 7 months anyone wanna give me a refesher?

So i came back after taking a long break to empires mod and i have gotten back into sins obviously i left as a experienced veteran and came back now as semi-experienced person. So my question is have any new popular strategies developed that i should watch for what has anything else changed? (other then marza barrage and the updates which i all read.)

Well if you have entrenchment starbases and things can change things a lot. You can find a lot of analysis of the new defensive structures in older strategy forum posts. If you're just using normal sins, the updates should give you a good idea, but basically with the mild nerf to carriers a lot of people are going back to LRM's now, though they are somewhat counterable with a "scout rush" (again see the strategy forum).

Remember back in the days of 1.04 on regular sins when devs buffed the Illum and carriers didn't really work as the counter? Well, basically, we're back to square one. The most common strategy out there is to spam Illums. Illums actually beat HC's (if you can believe it, Illums crush Enforcers). Balance is bad at the moment.
