A guys point of view....

Recently here on Joeuser we have had a couple people concerned about women baring their breasts to feed their babies.  Is there a problem with a kid getting lunch?  No I don't believe that that's the problem, hell if I had it my way all the women with young firm boobies would go topless.  Unfortunately it's not up to me and no I would not have wanted to have my son be exposed to a woman breast feeding at 8 or 9 years old.  I'm an adult I can handle it, even appreciate it, and of course check to see if it's a nice breast too. ( Hey, I'm just being honest)  But the kid is just gonna either stare in awe or giggle and then I'm not only going to have to explain what the woman was doing but, also why it's OK for her to have her boobs out in public and its not OK for any other girl and that's not as easy as it sounds.

    The Public Decency laws that we have in the US are part of what separates up from the rest of the world.  For instance if I lived in Palma, Spain after a few months I probably would care less about boobs.  Seeing hundreds of them on the beach every day would make them common and uninteresting.  But If I lived in an Arab country where women are always covered up I'd probably go completely nuts any time I got to see some skin. ;)  Fortunately I live in the USA where women are forced by law to cover up at least their nipples ( more in some places). and that 2 square inches or less of material make all the difference in the world.  We ride the middle ground and I like it.  It lets me enjoy looking at women yet keeps that little bit of mystery there.

So anyhow,  I like boobs and yes if you are breast feeding your kid in a high traffic, public place I will look.  However if you are being discrete and doing it in a low traffic area I will give you all the respect that I can muster because you have done so for the rest of us.

I belive it is tragic that this is so. I also believe that it is the reason why LL's article was written. What is wrong with a breast and how does it differ from other body parts. For all I care, and no, not because I am a man, women should run around naked, as well as men. To be honest, does it really matter. What is wrong with nudity. Children should be exposed to breasts at a young age so as to in the future they do not stare in awe and/or giggle at the sight. America, let's uncover. Party at my house tonite, No Clothes Rule. It's may not be easy for you to do the talking, but kids understand and accept a lot more than we adults give them credit for. I think you'd be surprised. And then, your son wouldn't have any more issues with it as he entered into adulthood. He'd have a knowledge base and level of respect for the nursing mother that I hope more and more people teach their kids. You could be Dad of the Year. I can see it now..."This year's dad of the year is nominated for his wonderful and enlightening explanation to his eight year old son about the biological processes of nursing female humans. I'd show them the Military STD slide show and then get real inner city teen moms and dads to come in and speak. Basically scare the hell out of them with facts.
Wouln't work I'd be too graphic and to the point. Then I'd have some uptight mom blogging about that @sshole Sex ED teacher.

Damn, I thought this was going to be a blog encouraging JU's to submit pics of their chest....I'll show my boobs if you want. Good thing there isn't a Show Your Ass thread, I would find that way to tempting...likely ending my blogging career and any 1/2 ounce of credibility I had previously.

A better question would be, "who hasn't seen suspeckted's ass?" It was revealed daily for a two-month stint when I was interning in New Orleans.
