Advent Revelation Cap Ship - Lvl 6 ability question

So, last night I started using the lvl 6 ability for my Revelation to augment my fleet.  I was picking up Hoshikos and Kodiacs and that other support cruiser of theirs (forgot the name).  And I was wondering if the abilities of those ships come with them.  Meaning, for example, the Advent Guardian has that ability to disperse heavy cruisers--an ability that comes after 6 (7?) Temples of Hostility.  So, for a while, I'm running Guardians without that ability, so if someone steals one from me it won't have it.  Is it the same for an Advent guy stealing TEC ships?  If the player/AI has researched the particular ability and I steal that ship, can I use it?

i am pretty sure if you steal a ship you only get the stock standard version

i.e. if you steal a cielo you get the embolden ability but not the designate target ability, regardless of whether the other player has researched it or not

same works the other way around, if someone steals a ship from you, he wont have any researchable abilities, regardless of if you have researched them or not, so there is no need to be fielding Guardians without the repulsion ability researched (once viable, of course)

hope that helps

No. For example you won't be getting Kodiak's with Intercept from TEC players if you should choose to steal them, after all, you don't have the research.

Domination is the Rapture Battlecruiser's level 6 ability.

The Revelation's level 6 ability is Provoke Hysteria, which drops a planet's health by 40% of its max and its population by 40% of its max over a time period of 40 seconds.

Woops!  I always get those two mixed up.  Of course I'm talking about the Rapture here.

Thanks for the other info, guys.  Any recommendations of what I should be stealing?  Is there a great general ship out there that would augment an Advent fleet pretty well?

Obviously, when in doubt pick the most expensive unit.  Carriers and heavy cruisers make your best choices.  Aside from that, support cruisers are your best bet.  Make sure to pick one with lots of anti-matter left!

Hoshikos are a pretty reliable steal for Advent since there are no hull restoration units for them. Combined with guardians you have yourself a useful little combo. Other units you could consider are the other support cruisers out there (Severun Overseers seem like good candidates since they increase armour as their default ability, and Advent lack armour upgrades until tier 6) and heavy cruisers, since they're the powerhouses of TEC/Vasari fleets.

Domina Subjugators restore hull.

Domina Subjugators restore hull.

Yes, but the cooldown on that ability (Perseverance) is one minute, so its not very practical to allow them to make up a large percentage of your fleet.

What is good about that ability is that it renders the target ship immune to disablement for 40 seconds (or until the Subjugator itself is disabled).

They're one and the same ability.  Perseverence restores hull and renders the target ship immune to disablement for the duration.
