Help with favor items?

You, sir, are a piece of work.

First you complain about how the game is full of hacks/exploits that detract from your experience and you advise all new players to avoid an entire part of the game because of it, then you turn around and create a thread asking how to modify game files to give yourself an advantage?  That is pretty much the definition of exploitation.

There are no super-powerful "Win Button" favor items (unless Staff of Renewal is as overpowered as it was in beta, but I bet we'd have seen people complaining by now if it was).  While some of the really cheap items are useless, the Brilliant Bauble (+10% XP) is only 250 favor, and the Swift Anklet is 450.  Those are nice generalized favor items that IMO are perfectly fine alternatives to the more expensive ones.

"Give myself an advantage?"  I want to level the playing field and have the same ability to be equipped with the same items as everyone else, and you accuse me of wanting to "give myself an advantage?"  You are not only the "piece of work" you claim me to be, but you are an asshole to boot.

I'm quickly boring of the asshole community which seems to be quickly growing up around this game.  Hopefully, it's just a few bad apples and not the whole bunch.

they're just saying, just because the items on the bottom are more expensive, doesnt mean they're WAY better and win the game for you.

there are just different abilities varying in complexity.

i still just use Blood of the Fallen even though all of the items are unlocked.

I guess this forum is just flooded with extreme assholes.  You can't even get a post off without it being flooded, making the post useless (now I can't get what I'm asking for).

I suppose I have one of two choices:

1) I can just refuse to be beaten by these assholes, and "fight fire with fire." Maybe just make a new, identical post to this one.  When the assholes saturate-flame that post and shout it down, then make another, and another, and another.

2) Just let the assholes win, and resign myself to not making posts in the future.

I'm seriously tempted to do #1.  But I'm just not sure that it's worth it, and in the end it would be a headache for the administrators, Stardock, myself, and the (few) nice people that might inhabit this forum.

I'll put some thought into which option to take.

Win a few games. Get any favor item you want. It's not hard. Seriously I've got favor stacked up like crazy after like 10 total games. Half the time I dont even buy the damn things and I still rape people.

You alienated yourself with the post about favor items being unbalanced. If they were it would be a common belief. However, you decide to take it a step further and say it's a game exploit. You may see where the "assholes" are coming from if you looked at your posts from a different perspective.

EDIT: Especially when you mention swift anklet, it costs 450 favor points and if you come in first you generally make 160-220 favor points. So in 3-4 games you can have it took, and when the system's fixed that lasts FOREVER. How is that unbalanced?

Even the most expensive favor item is priced so low as to be easily obtainable.  There is no grind for favor items in Demigod.  Right now the only problem I see is the favor bug (which has me bad) messing people up.  I've been stuck with negative favor all week, I have 1 favor item, swift anklet, and I am at equal footing with it against anyone.  Tomorrow the patch fixes the favor bug and we can all unlock the whole set with very little play time invested.

Someone I  know argues with people all the time, she is possitively an argument magnet.  She thinks the whole world is argumentative.  Think about it.

I've only been able to unlock the first favor item.  I have strong reason to believe, because of very early enemy encounters in mirror matches, that the difference was favor items that they could equip that I couldn't equip.  As such, I want access to the same equipment everyone else has access to.

You have access to the same items so why are you crying? Because you suck and can't win a game. Because you leave games like a whiny little child if you're losing. See how the cycle will go on forever? I sure as hell do.

You can get any single item they can. You can get them all in very very few games. Said items aren't even that big of a deal, again half the games I even forget they exist and never pick them up. Every game so far except 1 I've been the number 1 player....WITHOUT USING THEM! ZOMG overpowered! Nerf please.

I think for everyones braincell count you should go with option 2.

of course some people here felt offended by your post, but come on, dont you see their point? its the idea of favor points, that you get rewarded by playing the game, and not by "whining" that everyone bashes you.

i hope i cleared things up a bit for you.

I've only got the top right +health / hp heal item unlocked (cheap as heck unlocked in 1 game), played a ton online. I do fine, better than fine even. Tough it up soldier.
