Unable to connect to any online game

Title says it all.  When attempting to connect to a custom game one of two things results:

1) im immediately greeted with the error "attempt to join failed"

2) i attempt to connect and hang while attempting to connect and the connection info remains completely black.

When attempting to connect to a pantheon game one of two things results:

1) after attempting to connect for 5-10 minutes, i receive the error i am unable to connect to the NAT.

2) i connect then everyone is dropped the moment the game starts.

Im unable to host games, unable to join skirmishes, unable to do anything but single player, not exactly why i bought the game.

I have been playing Internet Pantheon games all night long, but for the past hour I can't join a Pantheon game.  I get the message that I can't connect to NAT.  During the past hour that I get the "can't connect to NAT" message, I go to Internet Custom Games and hit refresh and there's no games listed.  It's like the whole network is down or something for the past hour.

I'm not using a router, straight from comcast cable modem to my computer.  It was working all night and now 1 hr and nothing whatsoever, it seems like the whole demigod system is down.

I have been trying to debug a problem for a friend with the EXACT SAME PROBLEM as OP all night.

My buddy installed from behind his NETGEAR (Not sure what model) router, which is connected to a Westell 2200 Modem with Verizon Service. All ports appropriately forwarded. Nothing for my buddy.

So I DMZ'd his PC. Nothing.
Disabled SPI and any firewalling entirely. Nothing.

Thinking it was some kind of bizarre problem with his seemingly buggy XP install?
I reinstalled Windows XP and redownloaded demigod from the ground up. Nothing.

So. I pull off the router, connect directly to Modem, and disable any and all potential firewalling obstructions that I know of.
Nothing.

So. At this point, it's not anything on the computer or to do with the connection that I can isolate, understand, or fix.

So I upgraded his to Windows 7 to keep the whole formatting his primary drive from having been a total loss.

And proceeded to tell him he is well and truly fucked and to enjoy single player until the guys get their act together.

Three of my friends and I decided to pick up demigod as an excuse to FINALLY get away from DoTA.

The launch is killing it for us.

I am just having the same problem (the latest in a long list of problems) tonight.

I have been able to connect okay (when the game runs that far) until tonight,

and now I keep getting the "could not connect to NAT server" problem.

According to some other posts, port 6000 must be open, but mine is so that is

not the issue.

*sigh*

I've had the same problem. I was able to play for a few hours up until ~ 11:30PM EST. I left and when I got back and decided to play I keep getting the same error. "Could not connect to the NAT Facilitator, please try again later."

Guessing the servers crashed. The joys of launch week. ^.^

Anyone else tired of the NAT protocal? I really think we should just eradicate it. Who cares about potential mass panic at lack of connection and rampid virus? If it means the letters N-A-T never appear together again then consequences be damned!

Well time to get some sleep. Good luck late nighters! Hope the servers come up soon.

Yea, it was working fine for me and then suddenly at the same time as you all multiplayer games wouldn't work.  I just don't see any custom games listed, refresh, nothing there.  If I try Pantheon then it's just NAT message.  Servers are down just crash for the night or move on to a different game.

Same problem here for me. Last night (01:00 GMT) was fine, lots of Pantheon games without problems (aside from very long connection times) woke up this morning and get the same error messages as described above: Mainly that I failed to connect to a NAT Facilitator, sometimes just one that says "Failed to get Game Info".

I thought that Demigod worked on a P2P system so servers weren't specifically required for gameplay - I had assumed they were just for stat tracking. Or have I got that completely wrong? O:)

Looking forward to it being fixed!

Same problem, what is most devastating for my brain is Pantheon, when 95% games i try to join say you were kicked. 5% that I host starts with 1 or maximum of 2 players against AI. Is that what I wanted from game when I bought it? Damn p2p... I don't know what else to do? I disabled my firewall, stopped any traffic except windows and demigod. Why must I play with AI in a Pantheon mode? Why can't I join 99% of custom Internet games? Or I have to go to my ISP office and tell them to do something with worldwide peer-to-peer to make it work it should? I am looking so damn forward for Stardock to FIX this as soon as possible. Sorry for my English.
