starbases upgraded: all

duh?

Just wondering why when you are upgrading something that affects starbases the listing is "starbases upgraded: all" are they hinting that different types of starbases are on the way? or is that just for modders convenience, either way i would love another type of starbase, maybe each race has 2 starbases, one more naturally designed for combat, the other for economy. just wondering what was going on.

It's a generic thing in the engine and it's basically done automatically. If a research applies to every entity in a given category, it just writes "All" rather than listing out every single one. Of course in the case of starbases there is only one, but it still does it.

So no, it's not really a hint that more are on the way. :P

can you mod in extra starbases? have like a frigate, crusier and cap ship versions of your starbases?

I am well aware that they have a culture feature. Same as all 3 races can do trade/econ things too... I was just pointing out the similarities of adding additional starbase types....
