Congrats to devs for all the updates!

Especially this early

Just want to give a round of applause to the Devs for keeping us so well informed.  I've been looking forward to this game since I first heard about it a few months ago, keep up the good work!

;)  No problem...we love to talk about the game. For a while we were playing a bit of catch-up: with work being engine-centric the gameplay features weren't getting in. But now Brad say's were up to speed, perhaps even a little AHEAD of schedule....though we can never rest TOO much, or we'll feel the crunch-time pain later in the year.

You'll be hearning more and more as new details get worked out and we get closer to Beta 0!

I agree you all deserve a round of applause.

I've tried to get information on Diablo 3 and noting is coming out.

It's fun to have a group of people intend on keeping their customers in the loop.

Thank you

Unfortunately this is true with most developers... where they don't communicate with their targeted gaming community.  I recall when Triumph Studios was developing  Age_of_Wonders:Shadow_Magic they were actively taking advice from the community which produced a game which still has an active forum today.  They did sneak one surprise feature called 'Surrendering' which was not appreciated by the community and later switched to optional which 99.8% gamers always disable.   I know Illwinter for Dominions_3 has also been good with meeting requests from the community regarding improvements and even modding.

I'm very impressed how Stardock has been very active and interested with the fantasy gaming community which is building on these forums.

Also of course this game looks great.  I've still have Masters of Magic and I remember the joy in trying to turn one of my guys into a god like destroyer with crazy stats and items...and now being able to carve and shape the world! Awww...good times.

The various "leaks" are actually a great way to keep up interest and increase purchases, as people are much more curious if you give them teasers. I just wish more devs would realise this... Of course, it helps to have a relatively small fan base, as Stardock does, otherwise you get besieged with requests. It also helps (IMHO) if you make players "work" to get the juicier bits like with the runes and terrein names hidden in the tooltip/url's of the medallions. Makes peopke feel like they are accomplishing something while wasting time @ work/school.

I'm also very glad to see the uptick in dev posts. Any chance of a journal post on magic functionality soon?

you better not jynx it.  You'll have massive server problems or your code will be attacked by the logic gremlins or something.

Aye, they sure make me checking a few times a week to see or something new has arrived. Although RSS makes that quite easy! :)

Keep up the good work!
