Hello Sins experts

I was into Sins for a brief time but have always loved the game(I visit the forums daily but havent been playing).  Now I finally have gotten back into it and have been playing everyday. What a game indeed ...

My question: Some of the achievements like "Destroy 300 capital ships" - are they carry over from game to game? I know Sins games can be MASSIVE but 300 capital ships in one game seems crazy.

The achievements are cumulative.  They add up from game to game.  Except for the ones like "Own every kind capital ship at once".

I don't know of any cumulative achievement. I'm pretty sure all have to be done within one game.

Really?  I've got the one where you're supposed to destroy some ungodly amount of strike craft, and I don't think there were that many in the game, total.  Same with the one with destroying the civilian vessels.

A quick question on the Pirates achievement (destroy 1000 pirate ships I believe). Anything tricky about this one? I've had multiple games where the end game stats show me as having killed about 1,300 pirates. Once I even placed a starbase in each of three pirate lairs and just let the game go for a while (without colonizing the pirate bases) and still no achievement. Ideas?

If you are to get the achievement you must do it in a single game
