remote sensor vs novalith

when playing as TEC, you can use a scout to put the Remote Sensor on a planet to see in-system. I was wondering whether anyone noticed if this sensor is destroyed when a novalith blast hits the planet. It would make sense that it would since the sensor would probably be destroyed during the attack, and you should lose your source of intel once that happens. 

this isnt a big deal really, i'm just curious and don't have time to test it for myself

Nope, the novalith only dose damage to planet heath, upgrades and population.  not to any orbiting objects.

i haven't read it in a while, but i think the description of the remote sensor is something thats placed on the planets surface. it isnt a structure that you actually have to build, just a scout ship ability

I always thought of it as a cloked probe sitting just inside the grav well, silently looking on, reporting everything it sees, till its powersupply drys up and its lifetime expires
