I think you need to learn to spell 'wrong'  (not rong)

no, I jest

uh...  from the 0 troubleshooting I've seen here I'd say loose connection somewhere.  (I have not blamed the computer or anything electrical mind you)

"A power surge of great magnitude has been detected."

Well, in a world(s) where it costs FAR too much to place a simple surge protector in Crew member's consoles (BSG, Star Trek, etc.) i can see how this could be causing the issue.

Haha! Ya, they like making computers spontaneously explode don't they... I can't think of many shows/movies where they don't explode when the ship is taking fire. Probably a remnant of the WW2 image of the pilot going down with his plane on fire and smoking. After all, fire won't burn in a vaccuum and so they need some visual cue to the audience that the ship is taking damage.

I thought that was all the set shaking as if they just rammed something heavy (why would the ship shake when shields get hit by an energy beam?) and the people flying around everywhere after it.
