Huge Number of User Actions - Ever Seen This?

I just finished a game and I was looking at the stats and noticed that my opponent had made a little over 4 million user actions vs my 2000+.  I double checked the digits...it was 4 million plus.  I tried to take a screenshot, but sometimes my desktop graphics are scrambled when I get out of Sins, so I lost what was in the buffer when I rebooted.

Has anyone ever seen this before?  Most games I only do a few thousand user actions, and I'm usually on the high end of the scale.  I can only speculate how someone could get 4 million (automation?),  or maybe it is a bug?

I had a game earlier that said I had ~12 million actions (according to my friend - I had closed mine before checking actions), I didn't think to ask him to grab a screenshot though. I don't do any sort of automation, so my guess would be it's due to a bug.

Yes I've seen this. It appears whoever isn't hosting has a huge amout of user actions

In this case it was the host....I guess it is a bug then.

OK, first time I had seen it, I wondered WTF is going on?

Actually, it appears to be a client thing. These two screenshots are from the same game-

Skynet is starting to take over.

Never did know exactly what user actions was supposed to be, we sort of just assumed it was mouse clicks.

There was a thread a while back on this... had a screenshot labeled 'Good Clicker'. The OP calculated it out to be something like a thousand actions a second.

might be the koreans who are used to play starcraft i heard from a friend that they can make like 400 UA/sec vs average players 50 UA/sec

Not actions per second, but actions per minute.  A typical mouse and keyboard system can't physically process 400 actions per second.  Typically, APM counts every click with the mouse and hotkey press, which I would presume is what Sins is counting in this metric.

Hehe, as Darvin points out, it is per minute, and even that seems kind of fast.  I have seen video of Korean players in tournament, and the guys hand was epilectic on the the hotkeys he was tapping them so fast.  I can't compete with that, though I can't help but wonder how useful it is to button spam when things in the game only happen so fast.

That said, this is one of the reasons I like Sins and I don't know how excited I am by Starcraft II Multiplayer.  My poor hands can not handle the button mash fest super hi twitch  / hi user action games require.  Sins with Alloy speed boost almost runs too fast for me...I'm not as young as I used to be, and I don't need carpal tunnel.  Sins has a good pace and requires smart strategy as much as it requires micro.

Hopefully Starcraft II won't be all about the button mashing....

It has to be a bug, on my game I used the game time to calculate that it reported two users had performed an action over 81,000 times every second.
