Something we can all agree on...

Political differences aside, the one thing everyone in this nation must agree on is that we have brave men and women risking their lives for us overseas. They need our love, our support, and the knowledge that we are behind them. I don't know how well-known this is, but I found out about it last night and definitely think it is worth repeating.

This is an effort to get care packages to soldiers who, for one reason or another, are not getting much mail while they are overseas. I won't go into the specifics here. It's just an excellent cause, so check out the website if you want to learn more.

Nice of you to draw attention to this, philomedy.

Another great way to help is to donate at the Operation Gratitude site. They receive requests for packages directly from the soldiers or family members, and then put together packages with all kinds of items (snacks, CDs, hygiene items, etc.) and mail them to the soldiers overseas.
